Do only elderly people have stroke?

Dr Lee Ka Lok
Stroke is a problem of blood vessels in brain. A stroke can be caused by an obstruction in the blood flow, or rupture of an artery that cause brain cells suddenly die because of a lack of oxygen and glucose. Although stroke risk increases with age, there is a growing trend of strokes in younger generation. The common symptoms of stroke include hemiplegia, tongue-tie, wry mouth, deviating eyes, half vision, faintness, saliva drooling, swallowing difficulties and numb feeling. Receiving early diagnosis and treatment of strokes may improve the chances for complete recovery.
