To ensure patients receive appropriate treatment and in compliance with the guidelines of the Ambulance Service, Union Hospital will not recommend admission of patients under the following categories:

• Illness / Injury required legal proceedings or must be reported to the police
• Suspected criminal cases
• Acute mental problem / maniac with propensity to violence / serious depression / suicide tendency
• Serious traffic accidents / industrial accidents / serious trauma
• Non-accidental poisoning

Remarks：

In according with Government Ambulance Service guideline, Ambulance Officer can execute his decision based on patient’s condition, needs, distance to send patient to the nearest A&E for treatment.
